I've read Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman recently, which is written in that way, so that's where i got the iodea from. It may have to wait about 5 weeks until after my exams though, but i've got the characters on the go. I have a huge family tree for them, lol!

I'd like to read the sequel to it, Knife Edge, as i've read the blurb on the back of it in a different book and it sounded really good.

Thanks Alice! It started off being about a farming family, but it's turned into a sort of murder mystery - midsomer murders style story, but still about the family. I thought i could start it retrospectively, but it might not work. I also thought it might be easier to write 'short chapters', ie. from different people's perspectives. the chapters could correspond, sounds good

I don't know if i've already said this, but the chapters would follow on, like a normal story would, but the different chapters would see that bit of the story from one person's perspective, but not others. I mean, they'd still have their thoughts and actions told, but just from another person's perspective, if you know what i mean.

There's no harm in trying, but it's good to be honest. I'm not brilliant at writing, my vocabulary isn't very diverse, but people seem to be enjoying Human Influence, so it inspires me.

I can imagine storys, but I can't turn them into respectable reading items, especially detail, I can't put thoughts on paper.

Just try and then people can give you tips and you can keep adding bits to it as you think of things. What you initially write doesn't have to be the finished piece. I'm think of redoing most of mine when it's finished as it's quite pathetic.

I am going to rewrite the first few installments of mine, to help them fit in more with the 'character' of the fan fiction.

Could anyone give me a basic technique? I'm hoping that I'll have batteries for my Psion ready for the holdiay in Serra de Estrela (Tomorrow), where I'll (hopefully) have time to write.
