Wow! Technical explanation, but I think I understood it. So can I use it for creating banners, or do I have to stick to paint?

Wow! Technical explanation, but I think I understood it. So can I use it for creating banners, or do I have to stick to paint? It's not a graphic creator program, it's a reader. It can only read PDF documents. However, paint isn't the only graphics program out there. There are numerous free programs or there are trial versions of paid for ones. I'm cheap so I do month here and a month there of using trials of paid for software. Maybe one day I'll actually buy one.
