Freewebs appears to having some problems at the moment. At first Stanie's screencaps wasn't being found at all, I'm now getting a stock car website. I'm getting the same website on John's TR site but a minute earlier I got some poetry website.
Now I'm just getting this stock car site on every freewebs site I visit. Steve, your site seems unaffected as is Aiden News.
Maybe freewebs has been hacked or something. I can't find any support forum, blog or anything for any announcements but it certainly is odd.

Maybe I spoke too soon. Stanie's site just loaded and yup the other sites are back as well. No idea what that was, it was weird.

Yes, I've been sitting watching it all since 6:15pm! It appears to be a global Freewebs problem, but oddly enough nobody is asking about it on the forum yet. I can still login and the files are all still intact so the individual accounts haven't been hacked. www.freewebsforum.com/

It looks like a corrupted database, or perhaps a DNS issue - not sure about that last one though.

On second thoughts, they're using subdirectories rather than subdomains so I reckon that has been a database issue. It does appear to have settled down now. That was fun though - never seen anything quite like it before on Freewebs.

Yeah and now it's gone again. It must be some kind of database issue. I can't believe nobody is asking about it, perhaps people don't know how to get to the forum.
It's back again. It's like a yo-yo. Each time I check a site something is different with it. Weird.
If you're concerned or anything I can host Stanie's HTML for a few days until it's all fixed. The URL wouldn't be the same would be the only problem. How much bandwith and space do the HTML pages use? If it's not a lot I have more than enough space and bandwith and I could host them for you permenantly rather than freewebs. You could upload everything via ftp and things like that. Couldn't do the images though.

Thanks, Spy_Master, that's a generous offer. The only files hosted at Freewebs are index.htm and videos.htm, plus the graphics which appear on the index page (not counting the animated gif) so that's just a very few KB altogether - everything else is offsite. The site bandwidth overall is probably significant but the Freewebs bandwidth just for loading those two pages would be tiny.
I'll wait and see if it settles down but I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

I have that problem at the moment too. I have the site up, but it says that most of the pictures are currently unavailable and previously I got a website for Pit Bull Terrier enthusiasts and a Myanmar Chat Room at the same address, pmsl!!!

Nearly 11pm and there are still problems with the sites. I checked the Freewebs forum and finally a couple of people have reported the problem - random incorrect pages loading instead of their regular homepages. The staff aren't aware that there's a problem so they're advising them just to clear the cache and restart the browser and if that doesn't fix it then restart the computer. Not to worry - maybe by tomorrow they will realise they really do have server problems. hopefully then they will fix it.

Oh what fun. I just checked and it appears to have straightened itself out at the moment. That's not to say it's working properly yet though.
